Tongue ties are found in up to 5% of all newborns and can lead to difficulty in breastfeeding,
painful latch for mothers, and decrease in weight gain within the first few weeks of life.

Zarina Rasheed, DDS, MS was born and raised in Texas (and loves it here!) She has been in practice for over 8 years and completed all her degrees at the University of Texas (Dental and Masters degrees!) Dr. Z completed an extra two years of specialty training and is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In addition to receiving a certification in laser assisted pediatric dentistry, she is also a certified expert in performing frenectomies in-office. Dr. Z caught a tongue tie in our child last year when everyone else dismissed our concerns and blamed his symptoms on other things. | "Dr. Rasheed is amazing! She recently did laser frenectomy on my grandchild’s lip and tongue tie. The procedure only lasted about 10 minutes and our little one was feeding better immediately. My DIL’s milk supply doubled and baby now has a beautiful latch and stronger suck. She is much happier when eating and healed very quickly. "I was referred by my lactation consultant. Absolutely love Dr. Z! Step by step she walked my husband and I both through my sons lip and tongue tie. She was educated with the latest info and made us feel comfortable from beginning to end! I also love her cute and quant room for breastfeeding moms! It's such a relief to not have to feed my baby in a bathroom! Her staff is so friendly too. Highly recommend! They go the extra mile! Update! 12-22 We still love Dr. Z! I personally love how she treats moms. She goes out of her way to train her team to do just the same. She has a light presence and my son still loves her to this day. Wouldn't go anywhere else!" |
